The Miami Marlins and the Toronto Blue Jays conducted a blockbuster trade last week, with shortstop Jose Reyes, pitchers Mark Buehrle and Josh Johnson, catcher John Buck and outfielder Emilio Bonifacio going to Toronto for seven Blue Jay players. The deal was approved by the commissioner Monday afternoon.

The Jayhawk football team lost its final home game Saturday night to Iowa state. It was the final home game for seniors. The Jayhawks’ final game is this Saturday in West Virginia.

The KU women’s volleyball team won their 23rd game of the season Sunday, with a three sets to zero victory over TCU. This is the most wins for the Jayhawks in the Big 12 era.
